Information Used By The Tools
When you use the Build Quiz, your answers are sent to the configured recommendation service so it can return a build. When you use the Deal Checker, the submitted price, condition, seller type, and component details are sent to the valuation service so it can return a verdict. Do not enter names, addresses, payment details, account credentials, or other sensitive personal information in either tool.
Information Stored On Your Device
The Quiz can save a draft and the latest result in your browser so you can resume or revisit it on the same device. This on-device data is not an account and is not designed to sync across devices. You can remove it by clearing this site's browser storage.
Analytics And Operational Logs
PCBuildQuiz may collect limited product events such as the page or tool used, a broad budget band, result state, and whether a retailer offer was opened. The frontend analytics contract excludes quiz notes, listing text, email addresses, and full user-entered component strings. Hosting and API providers may also process standard operational data such as an IP address, browser type, timestamps, and request diagnostics to deliver and protect the service.
Cookies
The core Quiz and Deal Checker do not require an account. PCBuildQuiz does not use the tool inputs to create an advertising profile. A linked retailer or other third-party site may use its own cookies after you leave PCBuildQuiz; that site's policy controls its use.
Affiliate Links
Some retailer links are affiliate links. If you buy through one of those links, PCBuildQuiz may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. Affiliate relationships do not change the price shown by the retailer or the order in which the site explains a recommendation.
Data Sharing And Retention
Tool inputs are shared only with the service needed to produce the requested result and with infrastructure providers needed to operate the site. PCBuildQuiz does not sell tool inputs. On-device drafts remain until they expire, are replaced, or you clear browser storage. Service providers may retain limited logs for security, reliability, and abuse prevention according to their own operating policies.
Your Choices
You can use the learning and comparison content without submitting tool inputs. You can decline to follow affiliate links, clear locally saved Quiz data in your browser, and contact us to ask a privacy question or report an inaccurate result.
